SERVICES
CONSULTING
We consult on many Canada Customs & Revenue Agency (CCRA) issues such as tariff classification, valuation, rulings, CSA,ACI and FIRST line release applications and on U.S. issues such as Line release application, BRASS, PAPS and appeals, just to name a few.
DELIVERY
We also make daily trips from the local Windsor area to the local Detroit area with our delivery truck. This service is given to our Clients who require assistance picking up or delivering local small packages. It is basically an "add on" or a compliment to all of our other services.
DRAWBACK
Most people think that drawbacks pertains only to duty on goods they have imported, further manufactured or assembled and exported from Canada. This would be the case in many scenarios but there are other scenarios that you may have over looked.
For example, you may purchase goods domestically and use them in the manufacture/assembly of goods for export. If your domestic supplier imported the goods and paid duty you may be entitled to recover those duties.
Also, instead of paying duty at the time of import you may qualify for the "Duty Deferral Program." See Information below.
Also keep in mind that if you import goods that are from a NON-NAFTA Country OR import goods without a NAFTA Certificate and export those goods to the U.S.A. you may not be entitled to Duty Drawback or Duty Deferral.
In regards to refunds and remissions, we would review your customs entries to determine if you would be entitled to any type of refund or remission under any of the government programs.
DUTY PROGRAM
If you qualify under the "Duty Deferral Program", you may also qualify for relief of GST at time of import, enhancing your cash flow. The Canadian Government has several programs in place to assist businesses in operating outside the normal duty and GST (tax) requirements. These programs allow a deferral of payment to the government and normally apply to goods assembled or manufactured for export. For further information on these services and how Dell Will can assist you in registering for these programs contact
EXPORTATION
We clear your goods out of Canada at any border crossing as well. We are capable of clearing your shipments into the United States, and the use of our software through our web site will provide your company with the proper documentation.
GST ADVICE
If you qualify under the "Duty Deferral Program" (see insert) you may also qualify for relief of GST at time of import enhancing your cash flow.
Also, you may be entitled to GST relief if you are importing goods for repair or alteration. In many cases, if you have been using E29B temporary permits, these permits can be eliminated. If you have been using these in the past, you will know the problems with canceling the permits. It may also eliminate the need for acquiring bonds.
IMPORTATION
We clear your goods coming into Canada at any border crossing or Customs port in Canada. Although our physical location is in Windsor, we are able to clear and release goods across Canada electronically through our EDI system. Because we are members of the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB), we are able to make these arrangements.
IMPORTATION FOR REPAIR
At one time, you had to use E29B Temporary Permits to import goods for repair or alteration. Although our physical location is in Windsor, we are able to clear and release goods across Canada electronically trough our EDI system. Also, the permits took longer to process at Customs and even longer to cancel when the goods were exported.
Now, in many cases, you do not have to use E29B Temporary Permits. Many of these imports can be processed as normal Customs entries without the worry of having to cancel these temporary permits.
NAFTA CERTICATION
To take advantage of the benefits of the NAFTA Agreement, every effort should be made to obtain a properly completed NAFTA certificate which will enable the goods to be rated at the lowest possible rate of duty. Goods, as an example, imported into Canada from the United States, with a properly completed NAFTA certificate are duty free.
Under the agreement, the exporter of the goods is not bound or required to provide you with this Certificate of Origin. We do suggest however, that you make this part of your purchase order agreement, making it a requirement of the sale, if the goods do qualify. Although this certificate does not have to be presented to Customs at time of accounting, you may be required to produce them at a later date.
We can provide you with assistance in completing the certificate, and or assisting in obtaining the certificate from the exporter. For further information contact:
Instead of dealing with one broker on the Canadian side and another on the U.S. side all your dealings will be direct with us. You will contact the same staff at the same number whether it is an import or an export. All the billing invoices will come from us at one location. If you have any difficulties with your bill you will only contact one office who can answer all your concerns.
We can process all the required documents to clear your goods into Canada OR into the U.S.A.
It makes sense, let us do what we do best and then you will have more time to do what you do best. It will be one less worry for you.
